Volume 2: Kata & Self-Defense of the Ketsugo Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Series now available in Paperback and Hardcover editions!
The Ketsugo Goju-Ryu book series began with the first book, Shodai Jay Trombley, about the founder of Ketsugo Goju-Ryu. Volume 2 begins the outline of the system itself, the system that started in Okinawa with Seikichi Toguchi's Shoreikan Goju-Ryu. Ketsugo Goju-Ryu was established in 1974 by Shodai Jay Trombley and continues today.
Volume 2 includes pictures and descriptions of the following katas: Kihon Ichi, Gekisai Ichi, Gekisai Ni, Gekisai San, Hon'nogeki, Saifa, Genshin, Isshoni San, Sanchin, Seiunchin, and Sepai. It also contains techniques and many self-defense moves that are part of the KGJKA curriculum.

Shodai Jay Trombley describes the legacy of a martial artist, Shodai Jay Trombley, a Vermont native and U.S. Marine Corps member who received a black belt from Seikichi Toguchi in 1960, and went on to create his own karate system in America.
